Jaydream (they/them)

Jaydream is a mixed 2nd generation mestizo and white nonbinary queer person living on the land of the Očhéthi Šakówiŋ, Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo), Washtáge Moⁿzháⁿ (Kaw / Kansa), and Wažáže (Osage) people. Land that was stolen, colonized, and renamed to kansas city.

Jaydream’s love of zines has led them to connect with folks of all ages, identities, and backgrounds. They are extremely proud to be a co-founder and organizer of KC Zine Con for it’s first 10 years. Since 2015 they’ve run Neither/nor Zine Distro as a way to give folks access to zines in the KC area year round. Currently they stock Sister Anne’s and Stray Cat Film Center.

Their zines are personal and process driven, precious yet digestible. They are largely motivated by the desire to compile memories, ideas, resources, and experiences into a tangible time capsule. Every zine is an exercise in trusting that our creations are inherently valid and worth sharing <3
